Attend a Hypno-Doula Training

Do you attend births? Do you want to make your job easier? Encourage your clients to take Hypnobabies! As a hypno-doula myself I've experienced how much easier my job providing labor support becomes when moms really know how to relax. Hypnosis is a very powerful tool that is becoming quite popular with today's birthing mothers. Attend a Hypno-Doula Training so that you will have specialized knowledge in supporting these unique clients. Enroll by printing and mailing your payment and the forms linked in the right margin of this page.

Please view the Hypno-Doula Training Schedule in the right-hand margin for upcoming dates. Tuition includes instruction as well as a hypno-doula notebook ($50 value). Please contact me to let me know that you are interested in attending a training. Lunch will be served. Cost: $75 per doula/attendee or only $60 when you enroll and pay three weeks in advance. I would be thrilled to give your business cards and brochures to my students after you attend a Hypno-Doula Training as well as list you on my Hypno-Doula page! Hypno-Doula Trainees will:

• Learn all about the Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Course (although I'm equipped to answer questions about Marie Mongan's HypnoBirthing as well since I taught that for two years).

• Learn how fear and expectations apply to childbirth.

• Learn how the mind works.

• Learn how hypnosis reduces or eliminates pain.

• Learn why hypnosis for childbirth works (or doesn’t)

• Learn The Bubble of Peace and how this wonderful tool will help your client stay calm and focused on a peaceful natural birth experience (despite "helpful" comments from well-meaning friends and strangers).

• Learn the Power of Words.

• Learn the Importance of Affirmations

• Learn Birth Prompts you can say to help your client reach the ultimate depth of relaxation and comfort.

• Learn how to facilitate partner involvement.

• Learn how to create anesthesia.

• Learn about Birth Rehearsals and how these mock labors help your client gain confidence.

• Learn other resources and materials for supporting hypno-moms.

• View Hypnobabies birth stories.

Attend a 6-week Hypnobabies Class Series

I welcome observers in my Hypnobabies classes. You will get to learn exactly what my Hypnobabies students are taught. A hypno-doula training is more effective for learning how best to support Hypnobabies students. I strongly encourage doulas who are supporting Hypnobabies students to attend a hypno-doula training or attend class with their clients if no training is scheduled. Observers of a class series will not be able to receive any of the Hypnobabies materials. If you would like a hypno-doula notebook you may purchase one through the Hypnobabies Network or you will receive one if you attend a hypno-doula training. Please contact me to let me know that you are interested in observing a class series. You may attend the series as an observer for free. If you have a client currently enrolled it would be very helpful for you to attend their class series so that you can familiarize yourself with their hypno-anesthesia tools. If you cannot attend the entire series, I'd be happy to suggest which class(es) would be most beneficial for you.

The six-week Hypnobabies class series meets DONA birth doula certification requirements for attending a childbirth education series. It is currently the only hypnosis childbirth class that meets those requirements.

Rules for Observing a Class

1. You must be a birth professional (midwife, nurse, doctor, or doula). If you are still a student or in training for one of these professions, that is ok.
2. Please be on time! Classes start at 6:30 p.m. and it's best to plan on arriving by 6:20 p.m. so that you can get seated and settled without disturbing my students.
3. Brief, infrequent comments are ok as long as you are not undermining my authority as the instructor. If you are concerned about course content, please speak with me privately.
4. There has been a policy change regarding observers of Hypnobabies classes and we are no longer allowed to invite HypnoBirthing Practitioners to observe. This policy is due to ethical, legal, and conflict of interest issues. While I can't imagine that the intentions of most HypnoBirthing Practitioners are anything but good, it's important to me to respect Kerry's wishes.
